  • Artist and icon Ed Ruscha talks about creating masterpieces from the quotidian. Learn about Ruscha and his prolific career through the passage of time in his own words.
This conversation was held as part of the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Lecture Series.
The Diamonstein-Spielvogel Lecture Series provides a forum for distinguished artists to discuss the genesis and evolution of their work in their own words. Dr. Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and the late Honorable Carl Spielvogel generously endowed this series to make such conversations available to the public.

Call him what you will, Ed Ruscha is one of the greats. I teach a Slow Class (meaning it is a life-time study not a semester class) We will cover the concept of time, for quite some time. Thank you for this contribution of something smart on RUclips. (Don't forget, read real books too.)

There is nothing "sexist" about using the word Manhood in a sentence. This unnecessary self-flagellation must stop! Other than that, this was very good... Really like the artist and his process.
